When you purchase a Bombay you have joined a very exclusive club.  The Bombay is one of the rarest of cat breeds, renowned for its soft, sensuous black patent leather-like coat, its brilliant copper-gold eyes and its extremely loving, friendly personality.

The Bombay is a hybrid of the sable American Burmese and the black American Shorthair which has given rise to an exceptionally healthy and robust cat.  The breed originated in America some 50 years ago.  Even in America there are less than a dozen breeders of this fabulous feline, making it one of the rarest and most exotic cats in the world.

The Bombay shown here are amongst the very first Bombay to be seen in the entire South Pacific.  We take great pride that Moravanka is the very first breeder in Australia to produce Bombay and so far the only breeder of genuine Bombays. Whilst we can show you the appearance of the cat on this site, certainly we cannot display the Bombay's most rewarding and arresting feature - its personality and character. For this, we strongly urge you to visit us and enjoy the wonderful world of Bombay.

From the moment you acquire it, your Bombay will demand your attention and dominate your life.  At every available opportunity, your Bombay will occupy your lap or chest and gaze soulfully into your eyes or perch on your shoulder purring sweet nothings in your ear.
